Sometimes we would have a little of this and that kind of pasta leftover dry in a box and mom would make it all at once.
It was actually fun to have so many different shapes in all one dish.
This is a simple pasta dish that I usually make the sauce, freeze it then all I have to do is make the pasta and top with cheese when I get home from work. Easy and looks like I cooked all-day
You can use any kind you like just boil it to package instructions for this one-pan meal.

I love Italian food, but when you're in a hurry you want the taste to be authentic right?
This one is terrific and the whole family will love it!
Ingredients You Will Need
- tomatoes crushed or sauce
- granulated garlic powder
- dried oregano
- dried basil
- water or red wine
- salt and pepper to taste
- loose Italian sausage cooked and drained
- long shreds of Parmesan or Romano Cheese
- Optional: shredded whole milk mozzarella

Italian Style Pasta Helper

This is a quick meal making a sausage sauce helper to pour over pasta. Its a 30 minutes meal.
Ingredients:
- Pasta any kinds to package instructions
- 1 28 - ounce can tomatoes crushed or sauce
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 cup water or red wine
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pound loose Italian sausage cooked and drained
- long shreds of Parmesan or Romano Cheese
- Optional: shredded whole milk mozzarella
Instructions:
- Fry the sausage and drain the oil.
- Add the can of tomatoes, water, and spices, salt, pepper to taste.
- Simmer 30 minutes.
- Cook pasta to package instructions. Drain do not rinse.
- Put the pasta in a deep serving bowl.
- Pour the sauce on top sprinkle with cheese.
This sounds amazing, Claudia. Nice to have a batch of this sauce in the freezer for busy nights. And I'd use sausage for sure :)
