This basic Italian potato salad is simple to make no mayo, with all the makings of an antipasto salad except with a combination of potatoes.
Here is a wonderful cold potato salad with simple seasoning, and vegetables, tossed with a little vinegar, and olive oil dressing and makes the perfect side dish with anything you serve it with.
Just about anything can go into the salad an Italian platter of cold-cut meats, olives, tomatoes, and cheeses can be mixed and matched to your personal preference.
I love how much lighter the classic mayonnaise-style potato salads and, plus with all the additional ingredients this one can really be a whole meal in itself.
Potatoes absorb the dressing and meld wonderful fresh flavor plus leftovers are even better the next day or chilled overnight, so no problem making this ahead of time.
If you are a potato fan, you may want to try two other favorites, Air Fried Potato Fan or Oven-Roasted, and our Salt and Vinegar Potato recipes then.
This recipe is a nice alternative to the heavy mayo-ladened salad and a great side dish no matter what bbq or event you bring this to.

This is one of my favorite recipes as a child called Mom's Salisbury Steak she would make in a pattie style or meatball in a skillet.
The recipe is quick, easy, and economical as it can be all made from scratch or you can adapt it by using store-bought ingredients just check out my tips and suggestions.
We love the homemade version, the meat mixture is basic pantry ingredients and the vintage easiest beef gravy recipe is super easy to make using beef broth and not complicated at all.
Of course for those who prefer not to use a wine you can just omit that and add a little more beef broth to thin the gravy no worries.
As a child, I thought the meatballs were a fun way to serve these and they were super delicious over roasted garlic mashed potatoes but Salisbury steak is usually in pattie form so you can choose what shape you like.

First of all, let me just say, this candy is super delicious however it doesn't have potatoes in it but these are a super deliciosu creamy candy made with coconut and rolled into a cinnamon or cocoa.
This candy originated in Philadelphia where this confection is a favorite there and the candy sells over hundreds of pounds around the St. Patrick's Day holiday.
Inside this sweet treat is a delicious creamy cream cheese coconut filling rolled in cinnamon much like a coconut truffle.

I love moist Banana Zucchini Bread and this recipe is the easiest and best I have ever had.
We started making this recipe back in the early 1960s in Utica, New York, we used overripe bananas and freshly grown zucchini from dad's garden.
Then mom and dad spent half their winters in Florida they had both freshly picked zucchini and bananas as they were plentiful.
This recipe became really popular in the Southern states since just about everyone has a banana tree in the neighborhood and farmers' markets with fresh produce are everywhere.
Although any store-bought work fine, homegrown truly made a difference in the flavors.
The bread is sweet, moist, and delicious warm with some butter or just plain with a cup of tea or coffee.
We just love using bananas, especially for breakfast recipes and dessert pies.

Pastina with egg is the quickest comfort soup my mom made for us when we were growing up.
Pastina means tiny pasta in Italian, and usually, this is made with tiny little star-like pasta, anything tiny will do just fine!
This inexpensive kind of buttered pasta that can be thick or thin kept us warm and made us always feel better especially when we had the sniffles.
Grandma would make it often during the winter months when we were babies and was often one of our very first foods with the tiniest of pastine.
The recipe takes virtually only a few ingredients and is done in minutes.
This soup will always be my go-to when I just want something fast and want to warm up quickly on those cooler days.
Over the years we adapted just two of the ingredients using chicken broth instead of water and adding any kind of "small pasta" available.
Mom and grandma only used baby pastina, mom used tiny stars, but my favorite is orzo as shown in the photo.
Use whatever pasta will cook quickly and either let it evaporate as it boils or leaves some pasta water in it to be more like soup, either way, it's delicious.
